US President Donald Trump Listed as Bihar Voter? FIR Filed in Bizarre Fraud Case

New Delhi (India News Reporter): In a shocking and almost comical incident, an application for a residential certificate in the name of US President Donald Trump has surfaced in Bihar’s Samastipur district, raising serious concerns about the integrity of the state’s voter list verification process. Authorities have responded swiftly, rejecting the application and initiating a cybercrime investigation to uncover the mastermind behind this audacious fraud.

On July 29, 2025, an online application (No. BRCCO/2025/17989735) was submitted at the Mohiuddinnagar zone’s public service center, falsely claiming Trump as a resident of Village Hasanpur, Ward No. 13, Post Bakarpur, Mohiuddinnagar, Samastipur, with a fabricated Aadhaar number and a mobile number listed as 8000000000. The application, which even included Trump’s parents’ names Frederick Christ Trump and Mary Anne MacLeod stated its purpose as obtaining a voter ID card.

Revenue officials, led by Shrishti Sagar, quickly identified tampering in the application’s photo, Aadhaar number, barcode, and address details. On August 4, 2025, the application was rejected outright. The Block Development Officer (BDO) and Circle Officer (CO) of Mohiuddinnagar deemed the act a deliberate attempt to undermine the Election Commission’s ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Bihar’s voter list, aimed at eliminating fraudulent entries ahead of the state elections.

“This is not just a prank; it’s an attack on the credibility of our voter list,” an official stated. “The Election Commission’s guidelines are clear we will not tolerate such actions.” A letter has been sent to the Samastipur cyber police station to register an FIR against the unidentified perpetrator, and a thorough investigation is underway, with cyber experts tasked to trace the source of the fraud.

This incident is not isolated. Recent weeks have seen similar fake applications in Bihar, including names like “Dog Babu” and “Lord Ram,” exposing vulnerabilities in the online verification system. As Bihar prepares for its assembly elections, these cases highlight the urgent need for stronger digital safeguards and stricter KYC protocols to prevent identity fraud.

The question remains: How secure is India’s voter registration system in the digital age? As authorities dig deeper, this bizarre episode serves as both a warning and a wake-up call for electoral reforms.
